The Peddler’s Village was founded by Earl Jamison in June 1962. With colonial-style buildings, the Peddler’s Village has dining areas, lodges, award-winning gardens, and shopping areas. The landscape and planning of Peddler’s Village were inspired by Jameson’s travel to Carmel in the 1950s and 1960s. Initially, the Village was run by Jameson with a Cock ‘N Bull Restaurant and 14 shops only. As of now, Peddler’s Village has more than 65 unique stores in 42 acres of land.
For more than 50 years, visitors have traded, have fun, explored, and experienced unique dining at the 6 restaurants. If you have a family, Giggleberry Fair Family Entertainment Center offered the best experience with the 1922 carousel and the most extensive indoor obstacle course in the region. Nowadays, Peddler’s region is an ideal location for a countryside wedding with more than 6,000 sq. Feet of meeting and conference facilities. With such vast areas, you can go for seminars, team building sessions, corporate retreats, and holiday parties. In case you hire any one of the available spaces, you will be served by highly trained, experienced, and skilled professionals who understand your needs. When you work with professionals, you can have peace of mind knowing that everything is under control.
Throughout the year, there are different activities that you can enjoy, either with your friends or families. For instance, in May, you can enjoy the Strawberry Festival, while in July, Blueberries and Bluegrass are abundant. In August, you can have a peach treat during the Peach Festival to create memories. Fall is one of the memorable times of the year in Peddler’s Village with the Scarecrow Festival & Apple Festival October and November, respectively.
Peddler’s Village is a great place to be all year round, whether you are shopping or enjoying holidays. The beautiful lights, parades, and significant shopping areas make the area unforgettable and fun.
